How to help

Sponsor a child to day to provide basic social facilities such as school fees, uniforms, daily food, Lunch, books, school bags / backpacks, healthcare and clothing. Sponsorship and in-kind assistances are needed. NECS can provide a photo, a case history and information on child to be sponsroed. Monthly and quarterly reports would be provided to sponsor. Sponsors interested to support in any programs of their choice including income generating, vocational training, water well repairs, hygiene education and campaign against girl-child marriage are welcome. Information needed will be provided.

Latest project

Awareness raising against Ebola Virus Disease, the killer of this century to communities, not to shake hands, wash or touch dead bodies, avoid eating dead animals and bats, and report suspected cases of Ebola. The Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) is a severe, often fatal illness in humans and its infection has been documented through the handling of infected animals, as well as poor hygiene. The EVD outbreak in Sierra Leone has been declared a Grade 3 Emergency under WHO's Emergency Response Framework. NECS will undertake different activities to stop Ebola, provide support for survivors and children orphans and impregnated by the Ebola outbreak. NECS is continuous providing seedlings to farmers, open and distance learning in line with Commonwealth of Learning, and training communities to be part of Ebola Response outreach.

2016 to now, Needy Child Salone has distributed Albendazole tablets and Vitamin A multivitamins to thousands of school children u-5 and pregnant women in the Bombali district of Sierra Leone. Through this project, School children's has been prevented and treated of parasitic infections caused by tapeworms, etc. and a provided them with vitamins Tabs for a healthy immune system and for healthy skin.
